Well Well, the first Formula one grandprix of the 2008 season proved to be one of truimphs and terrible finishes...

Only 8 cars finished (before Barrichello was disqualified for exiting the pit lane under a red light). Thus even Kimi Raikkonen got one championship point although the ferrari did not make it to the finish line.

So the points paying results for the 2008 Australian F1 GP are as follows:

1. Lewis Hamilton (McLaren Mercedes)   10 points

2. Nick Heidfeld (BMW Sauber)   8 points

3. Nico Rosberg (Williams Toyota)   6 points

4. Fernando Alonso (Renault)  5 points

5. Hekki Kovalainen (McLaren Mercedes) 4 points

6. Kazuki Nakajima (Williams Toyota) 3 points

7. Sebastien Bourdais (STR Ferrari)  2 points

8. Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari)   1 point

Well lets wait and see if the Malaysian Grandprix scheduled for the weekend of March 23, 2008 will bring more cars to the finish line and reliability of the ferraris will improve over the next week.
